Next up, delve into a 3-part Creative Writing workshop series: Heartbreak Alchemy - Creative Writing Workshop with Eve Kerrigan. Who broke your heart? Was it family? An estranged brother, sister, parent, child? A former friend? An ex lover? A lover that never was? Let’s tell our stories and make gold from the shattered shards of our hearts. Workshops will be held from 6-8pm on Thursdays, May 15th, 22nd, and 29th.
AND, on Saturday, May 17th, 1-2:30pm, join us for a unique fusion of rhythm and mindfulness in our Mindful Drumming experience with Tom Terceira. Through guided percussion, breath-work, and intentional movement, you'll connect with your inner rhythm, reduce stress, and enhance focus. No experience needed — just an open mind and a willingness to listen, feel, and play. This is a drop-in event! Come drum your way to presence and peace.
Now here is what's going on at the gallery, 4 Market Street. . .
Thursday, May 8th, 6-7pm, is the opening for Youth Artist of the Month Angelina Ruiz! Angelina Ruiz is a senior at LaSalle Academy in Providence RI. She enjoys painting with Oil, Acrylic, Gouache and drawing with Pen & Ink/Pencil. Stop by to check out her incredible work!
AND we've got a special workshop collaboration at Church Street Press!
Join us on Sunday, May 4th, for Xerox Lithography with Deb Talbot! 10am-5pm (be sure to bring lunch)!
Xerox Lithography is a fun and flexible printmaking method that uses laser prints instead of traditional plates. It works by taking advantage of how oil and water don’t mix — ink sticks only to the printed parts of your image.
You'll use black-and-white laser prints, apply ink, and run them through a press to create unique, one-of-a-kind prints. Since each print can only be used once, bring several copies of each image — high-contrast black-and-white prints work best.
We hope to see you there!
May the creativity be with you!
Cheers,
The Collaborative
