ARTIST COLLABORATOR: Adèle Saint-Pierre

ADÈLE SAINT-PIERRE is a Franco-American artist. She works in watercolor and colored pencil, and her style is characterized by an economy of lines and naïve shading. From the stains and cracks in sidewalks that inspire her pieces emerge recognizable beings knowingly depicted with an occasionally acerbic whimsy, all poetically offered as a comment on the peculiarity of existence.

Saint-Pierre is a signature member of the National Association of Women Artists, and her art has been featured in a variety of literary journals. Her exhibitions include a solo show at the Shen Gallery in Brooklyn, and shared exhibits at AS220 and The Gallery at City Hall, both in Providence, and the Rockwell Gallery in New York City. She is a career educator with a BA in English Literature, an MA in French Literature, and a PhD in linguistics. She calls both Providence and Québec City her home.
