Show Your Film at The Collaborative

Film Night at The Collaborative gives filmmakers a place to share their work with a local audience, meet other creatives, and talk about the work after the credits roll.

We welcome short films, feature films, documentaries, experimental work, and filmmakers at all stages of their careers. Whether your film is making its way through festivals, has already been released, or you simply want to put it in front of an audience, Film Night is a place to share your work.

There is no fee to screen your film.

FILM NIGHT AT THE COLLABORATIVE

Every third Thursday of the month, Film Night brings people together around film and story. We use the night to highlight work from Rhode Island filmmakers while also exploring public domain cinema—older, unusual, overlooked, and sometimes unexpected films that still have something worth seeing.

Depending on the length of your film, we may pair it with a public domain feature, short, or experimental work to create a full evening of cinema.

  • We screen all kinds of work: Shorts, features, documentaries, experimental films, and independent projects.

  • We support local filmmakers: Film Night gives filmmakers, actors, and other creatives a place to share their work with an audience.

  • Public domain pairings: Your film may be paired with an older B-movie, art film, once-banned title, or other public domain work.

  • Q&A after the screening: When possible, filmmakers are invited to talk about the work and answer questions.

  • Free to participate: There is no screening fee, and Film Night is free for the community.

  • Every third Thursday: Screenings take place at The Collaborative Lab, 508 Main Street in Warren, Rhode Island.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

  • An intimate screening space: The Collaborative Lab accommodates an audience of up to 20 people, with a projector and 80-inch screen.

  • Event promotion and sign-up: We create a dedicated event page, promote the screening through The Collaborative’s website and social media, and share the event with you so you can invite your cast, crew, friends, family, and guests.

  • Social media feature: We’ll create a partnered social media post with Film Night host Michael Camara, giving you a chance to talk about your film through a short series of questions.

  • Optional filmmaker Q&A: If you’d like, we can follow the screening with a conversation and audience Q&A.

  • Snacks and refreshments: We provide light snacks and refreshments for the evening.
