“Rising Water”

Warren, Rhode Island is slowly losing an entire neighborhood to climate change-induced flooding. Local students investigate what the future holds for the town’s residents, ecosystem, and economy.

When: Thursday July 16th

Time: Doors open at 6:30pm, starts at 7:00pm

Where: The Collaborative Lab, 508 Main Street, Warren

Rising Waters is a film project by students of Mount Hope High School, teachers, and the Collaborative. It is an investigation of the threat posed by climate change to the small Rhode Island town of Warren and its more than 11,000 residents. The film centers on a particularly vulnerable neighborhood near Belcher Cove and the Kickemuit River that could disappear by the end of the century, as well as the radical plan the town adopted to respond to this threat.
