Clare is a senior Honors student at Somerset Berkley Regional High School. From a young age, she has had varied artistic interests that have ranged from drawing, fashion design, jewelry making, and most recently, ceramics and stained glass. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Clare has been mainly self-taught over the years, even showcasing a capsule wardrobe collection created by her at the age of 10, under the mentorship of Bianca Rae, as part of RI’s StyleWeek’s Seed Student Design Challenge.
She has expanded her knowledge and hands-on skills during her high school career under the tutelage of her wonderful art teachers. Her creativity spans her vast interests ranging from period pieces and styles to dystopian and Sci-Fi. A huge movie nerd, she draws inspiration from the characters and plots depicted in some of her favorite shows and movies as well as through her varied reading genre and has been creating hand drawn digital art over the past few years.
In her free time, Clare loves embroidering, drawing, watching movies with her twin sister and friends, and cooking new and family favorite recipes. A lover of all things vintage, she enjoys trips to the historic homes in Newport, art museums, libraries, antique shops and going to the theater. Clare plans on continuing to pursue the arts in her future endeavors.
