In this workshop we will read some examples of Gothic writing, discuss the common themes and tropes of the genre, and write our own Gothic tales. Through conversations about story structure, genre, and theme, through selected readings, guided exercises, and prompts, we will gain new inspiration and fresh ideas for writing stories. Be prepared to share your work with your classmates and give and receive valued feedback on your writing.
